Residents are advised that the City's consultant, ENGEO, will be conducting a geotechnical soils investigation on the levee beginning Monday, March 14, 2016. The work is expected to take approximately 6 days to complete. However, weather or unforeseen conditions may affect the overall schedule.

Work activities will normally take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, with activities causing noise beginning at 9 AM. The levee pedway will remain open for users at all times and traffic control will be installed to maintain access.

The work consists of soil sampling utilizing drill rigs and staff who will be performing tests on the samples. Noise caused by hammering of the soil sampling devices and truck operations is expected. This soils testing is being undertaken in preparation for the Levee Protection Planning and Improvements project. Please visit www.fostercity.org/publicworks/lagoonandlevee/Levee-Protection-Planning-FAQs.cfm, for more information on the project.

If you have any questions or concerns or would like more information regarding this project, please contact the Foster City Public Works Department at 286-3270.
