For Immediate Release: August 18, 2016
Contact: Vanessa Brannon, (650) 286-3354, vbrannon@fostercity.org

On September 6th, learn about Peninsula Clean Energy, a local energy program offering options with higher renewable content at competitive rates for residential and commercial customers,  at a workshop sponsored by the City of Foster City, the City of San Carlos and the County of San Mateo.

This free workshop will be held at 6:30pm in the San Carlos Library, 2nd floor, 610 Elm Street, San Carlos. All interested Foster City residents are invited and encouraged to attend.

Starting in October 2016, electricity customers in San Mateo County will be automatically enrolled in Peninsula Clean Energy unless they opt to continue to purchase electricity from PG&E. Billing and administration will continue to be provided by PG&E.  Peninsula Clean Energy customers will receive multiple electricity options, each with a different amount of renewable energy content, at competitive prices.  This workshop will cover how Peninsula Clean Energy works, what electricity options are available and the timing for start of service.

This event is free and open to residents and business owners throughout San Mateo County. For more information, visit: http://www.fostercity.org/departmentsanddivisions/citymanager/upload/San-Carlos-Flyer1.pdf.
