On Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. the City’s Information Technology Advisory Committee, the Foster City Police Department, and the Foster City Chamber of Commerce will present an Identity Theft Symposium in the City Council Chambers, 620 Foster City Boulevard. The public is invited to attend this 90 minute meeting to learn how to protect themselves from identity theft and cyber crime.

Join other Foster City residents concerned about the seriousness of Identity Theft to learn the ins and outs of the “3 D’s” of Identity Protection:

  • Deter criminals from stealing your identity

  • Detect thieves who have used or are currently using your ID

  • Defend yourself against the fastest growing crimes in America

Experts from Wells Fargo Bank, Seniors Against Investment Fraud (SAIF), Identity Theft Council, Foster City Police Department and The Net Tech Group will discuss the threats and how to mitigate them. Get up to date information on how your identity is at risk and what you should be doing to protect yourself.
