The City of Foster City is teaming up with Recology San Mateo County to host a Free Community Shred Event on Saturday, August 25 from 9 AM to 2 PM in the parking lot of City Hall, 610 Foster City Boulevard.

Residents of Foster City may bring up to three (3) file storage boxes (10”x12”x15”) of personal paper documents to be shredded for free. Residents should be prepared to show proof of Foster City residency.

Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming a victim of identity theft. Community shredding events give individuals the opportunity to have confidential documents destroyed on site, free of charge, whether it is small business documents you no longer need or personal papers you want to safely destroy.
