Donations are now being accepted for the construction of a Veterans Honor Wall in Foster City’s Leo Ryan Park.
The Veterans Honor Wall is being built to allow family, friends, and organizations in Foster City to honor their loved ones who served in the armed forces. Donations to the Foster City Veterans Honor Wall Foundation will be used to offset construction and maintenance costs of the Veterans Honor Wall.
Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. Donations of $100 or more will be recognized with a donor dedication plate which will be displayed at the flag pole. Donations of $2,500 or more will also receive:
The Veterans Honor Wall will consist of a four foot tall by 50 foot long cement wall, with a five foot return at each end, similar in style as the sections at the Meadow Stage, also in Leo J. Ryan Park. A 30 foot flag pole with a flag will also be installed along with spot lights which will illuminate the Veterans Honor Wall hardscape area.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2013 with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 4, 2013 and official dedication on November 11, 2013.
Additional information about the Veterans Honor Wall Foundation Program and Application Form is available at the Recreation Center, Community Center, and City Hall. All donations are tax deductible.
