On December 14, 2013, at about 11:46 p.m., an armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott at 550 Shell Boulevard,Foster City. The victim, a 68 year old male visiting from Oklahoma, had just returned to the hotel after an evening of gambling at the Lucky Chances Casino in Colma. After parking his rental car in the hotel lot, the victim exited the vehicle and was immediately confronted by two suspects, one of whom pointed a shotgun at the victim and demanded his property. The victim, fearing for his life, turned over his wallet, phone, cash and casino chips. The two suspects then fled the area in a late model, white 4-door sedan. The victim, who was unharmed during this incident, went into the front lobby of the hotel and the police were immediately notified. The suspects were not located during an extensive area check by responding officers. The victim felt he was followed from the casino back to the hotel by the suspects. The FCPD, working cooperatively with Colma PD and Lucky Chances Casino are following up on this investigative lead as of the writing of this press release.
