The Struggle of Adolescence

Do you have any children who are teenager or entering the teenager years?  This interactive workshop gives parents helpful information and  tips on how to help their children through potential struggles as every day teens.  Issues, such as bullying, anxiety and depression will be covered, as well as your local police officers' role in assisting you.

Presented by:
Marcus Terry, Youth Services Officer with the Foster City Police Department,
Molly Henricks, Crisis Coordinator with the San Mateo Behavioral Health & Recovery Services

Finding the Middle Ground with Your Teenager – How to Have Effective Collaborative Discussions

Date:  Thursday, May 3rd
Time:  6:30-8:00p
Location:  The Vibe, 670 Shell Blvd, Foster City

Wouldn't you love to approach your teen so that both of you feel heard and can find a solution together? When you learn the Collaborative Problem-Solving Process, you'll understand how to connect so your teen will both listen to you and share their own ideas. The skills you learn in this workshop can be applied to all relationships with family, friends, and at work.

All workshops will be held at the Foster City Teen Center (670 Shell Blvd.) from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We encourage you to reserve your spot for any of the above presentations by calling 286-3374 or emailing dlandwehr@fostercity.org.
