Foster City Community Bike Ride
Sunday, September 18, 2016
10am-1pm; Boothbay Park
Families and individuals are encouraged to participate in a 5 or 11 mile ride with other community members in the annual Foster City Community Bike Ride. This year, the Community Bike Ride is scheduled for Sunday, September 20th. The ride begins at Boothbay Park and continues down the levee along the beautiful San Francisco Bay.
Registration for the event is free and begins at 10:00am at Boothbay Park, located at Boothbay Avenue and Edgewater Blvd. Water, snacks, and frozen yogurt will keep you hydrated and energized during and after your ride. Also, don't forget to pick up your free giveaway when you register!
For the ninth year, a tricycle ride for tots will be part of the Community Bike Ride. Young children will have the opportunity to participate in the event by riding their tricycles along a path around Boothbay Park. This part of the event will take place at 11am.
Bike safety is very important! Please be sure to inflate your tires and make sure your bike is in good working order prior to the ride. Children under 18 are required to wear a helmet to participate in the ride, but all participants are strongly encouraged to wear a helmet. Free bike and helmet checks for all participants will be provided.
The Community Bike Ride is brought to you by the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department, the Foster City Parks and Recreation Committee, and the Foster City Police Department, with the support of the Foster City Parents Club.
This great event is part of the Foster City Family Fun Series and is a free event for all ages. For more information on Foster City's Community Bike Ride call 650-286-3380.
