Water Supply Main is Back in Service -- Water Irrigation Restriction is Lifted

Foster City, CA; April 1, 2009

The Estero Municipal Improvement District has announced that the Water Main Condition Survey and Improvements Project (CIP 760) is completed and the water transmission main is back in service.

As of Saturday March 28, 2009, at 3 PM, the water irrigation restriction has been rescinded. The water main shutdown was required to facilitate the replacement of aging water valves as part of Capital Improvement Project (CIP) 760. This main supplies water to residents in all of Foster City and the Mariner’s Island area of San Mateo.

The District thanks its customers for their cooperation in minimizing water consumption during this important project to improve the reliability of the District’s water supply.

For more information about this project, contact Assistant Engineer Laura Galli at (650) 286-3280.
