FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lagoon Level Lowered Due To Anticipated Storm

Foster City, CA; October 12, 2009

Foster City's Public Works Department will be lowering the lagoon approximately six inches today due to the potential severe storm headed our way.

The National Weather Service is predicting anywhere from two to four inches of rain which could raise the lagoon level by six to twelve inches. Public Works will continue to monitor the weather reports and adjust accordingly.

Once the storm has passed the lagoon level will be maintained at the normal summer level until mid-November, when it will be lowered to the winter level.

Please contact Public Works Maintenance at 650-286-8140 with any questions or concerns.
