Get Up-To-The-Minute Information About School Capacity in Foster City
Foster City, CA; May 1, 2009
Parents and other interested residents have a new resource for staying informed about the capacity of Foster City schools. The City has recently created a school capacity page on its website, fostercity.org, and created a free e-mail subscription list for individuals interested in receiving updates on the school capacity issue.
Due to actual and projected increases in the enrollment of elementary school-age children, the San Mateo-Foster City School District has been exploring alternatives for providing required school classrooms plus auxiliary spaces and infrastructure for the additional students. The City does not have legal authority to build or run schools; however, because the issues that affect schools are closely related to issues that affect the City, its businesses and its residents, the City is committed to working with the School District to identify the best solution for Foster City residents.
The City’s webpage and subscription list will have the most current information available to the City on this issue. Additional information may be available from the School District. The City wants all interested members of the public to be informed participants in crafting a creative and viable solution that meets the needs of our school children and the Foster City community.
Subscribing to the free e-mail subscription list is easy! Simply send an e-mail to schoolcapacity-subscribe@lists.fostercity.org or visit fostercity.org and follow the link to the listserv subscriber page where you will find simple-to-follow instructions for subscribing to any of the City’s lists. The City offers several free Listserv options for individuals wishing to receive information by e-mail from the City.
