Free Confidential Document Shredding Event and E waste Drop off for Foster City Residents

Foster City, CA; September 20, 2011

The City of Foster City is teaming up with RethinkWaste to host a Free Community Shred Event and Electronic Waste Drop-off on Saturday, October 15 from 9 AM to 2 PM in the parking lot of City Hall, 610 Foster City Boulevard. Community Shred: Residents of Foster City may bring up to three (3) file storage boxes (10”x12”x15”) of personal paper documents to be shredded for free. This event is sponsored by the City of Foster City and Shred-it. Residents should be prepared to show proof of Foster City residency.

Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming an identity theft victim. Community shredding events give individuals the opportunity to have their confidential documents destroyed on site, free of charge, whether it is small business documents you no longer need or personal papers you want to safely destroy. Shred-it’s trucks contain cutting-edge technology that can handle the job. Note: There is a limit of 3 boxes per household.
