Recology San Mateo County is teaming up with the City of Foster City to host a Free Community Shred Event on Saturday, June 25 from 9 AM to 4 PM in the parking lot of City Hall, 610 Foster City Boulevard.

Residents of Foster City may bring up to five (5) file storage boxes (10”x12”x15”) of personal paper documents to be shredded for free. This event is sponsored by the City of Foster City and Recology San Mateo County. Specially trained Recology employees will shred your personal documents on-site safely and securely. Residents should be prepared to show proof of Foster City residency.

Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming an identity theft victim. Community shredding events give individuals the opportunity to have their confidential documents destroyed on site, free of charge, whether it is small business documents you no longer need or personal papers you want to safely destroy. Note: There is a limit of 5 boxes per household.
