In an effort to provide the highest quality of service possible, Foster City is proud to unveil the improved Connections Shuttle Red Line in conjunction with the Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance.
Several changes have been made to this popular shuttle route:
- Two new, higher capacity buses will prevent overcrowding and allow for quicker boarding through two doors.
- A new schedule, coordinated with the schedule of SamTrans route 251, will increase on-time performance.
- A new express leg operating in both directions between Hillsdale Shopping Center and Bridgepointe Shopping Center will decrease trip time for many passengers.
These changes will allow for more punctual, less crowded buses and a more pleasant rider experience. Ride the Red Line and see the difference!
The Foster City Connections Shuttle Red Line travels along the same route as SamTrans Bus 251, serving Hillsdale CalTrain Station, Hillsdale Shopping Center, Edgewater Place, Marlin Cove Shopping Center, Beach Park Plaza Shopping Center, Foster City Recreation Center, City Hall and Bridgepointe Shopping Center. It is designed to provide 30 minute headways along SamTrans route 251 and make it possible for people to choose transit for running errands, going shopping, and getting around town.
The Connections Shuttle is funded by the City of Foster City with a matching grant from the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County. It is operated by the Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance.
