Fire and Police Department Open House

Foster City, CA; October 11, 2011
 

The Fire Department and Police Department will be opening their doors to the public at an Open House on Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

All residents are invited to come by for a fun-filled and informative trip through the Fire and Police stations. In addition to station tours and the chance to see the tools that are used by firefighters and police officers, there will be many displays, demonstrations and information on safety and emergency preparedness.

There will be information and activities for all ages. The Fire Department will have a Fire Safety Trailer where kids can learn what to do if there is a fire in their home, while adults can participate in a stove and utility demonstrations to learn how to properly put out stove fires and how to turn off utilities in an emergency. Paramedics will perform free blood pressure checks.

The Police Department is offering crime prevention information and officers will be showing the equipment on police cars and motorcycles. Also, free child fingerprinting kits will be available.

Snacks and drinks will be served.
