City Implements Easy Access to Council Meeting Video

Foster City, CA; December 6, 2010

It’s easier than ever to stay informed on the topics of interest to you!

Foster City’s City Clerk recently announced the launch of new video streaming technology – with one click, residents or other interested parties can watch a whole City Council meeting or a specific agenda item of interest to them.

“Foster City’s Council meetings have been streamed live and replayed for many years. Now residents can watch ‘on demand’ any time they want on their computers or smart phones,” said City Clerk Doris Palmer.

The technology allows interested viewers to watch the whole meeting or to choose a single item from the agenda. It is convenient and easy to use from any Internet-enabled device.

“We’re excited because now anyone can find out what happened at a City Council meeting anytime they want,” exclaimed Palmer. “It is in line with the City’s on-going goal of doing business in a transparent manner.”

Come and see for yourself! Log onto http://citydocs.fostercity.org/meet.aspx and see what happened at the November 29 and November 30 Council meetings. Choose the item you are interested in and get a full report.

For more information about on-demand video streaming of City Council meetings in Foster City, contact City Clerk Doris Palmer at 650-286-3252 or dpalmer@fostercity.org.
