Want to do something with your time that will help you learn more about your city, meet other like-minded residents, and make a difference to Foster City?

Have we got some ideas for you! The City of Foster City is looking for residents who would like to learn more about serving full or partial terms on the following Citizen Advisory Committees:

• Ad Hoc Environmental Sustainability Task Force – 2nd Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
• Arts and Culture – meets 3rd Tuesdays at 7:15 p.m.
• Audit – meets in April and November at 7:00 p.m.
• Information Technology – meets 2nd Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.
• Noise Abatement [Airplane] – meets 2nd Thursday bi-monthly at 7:00 p.m.
• Parks & Recreation – meets 1st Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
• Senior Citizen -- meets 3rd Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.

Interested applicants are invited to submit applications by 5:00 p.m. on October 22. Applicants for all committees are required to attend the November committee in which they are applying and will be notified to attend either the December 6 or December 20 City Council meeting for official appointment. All applicants will be interviewed by the committee and by the City Council on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application forms are available at City Hall, by calling 286-3250 or can be downloaded from the City's website at www.fostercity.org. Return completed application forms to the City Clerk, City Hall, 610 Foster City Boulevard, Foster City, CA 94404 by Friday, October 22.
