FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Catamaran Park Tennis Courts Closed for Maintenance

Foster City, CA; May 18, 2009

Spring has sprung and with it comes a new coat of paint for the tennis poles and fixtures at Catamaran Park.

Foster City residents are advised that the tennis courts at Catamaran Park are scheduled to be closed for four days from Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, May 29. The tennis courts will re-open Saturday, May 30, 2006.

The City will be doing routine maintenance and upkeep on the equipment associated with the tennis courts. The light poles and fixtures will get a new coat of black paint and the utility boxes and push-button pedestal will get a new coat of green paint.

Proper maintenance ensures that the park equipment stays in good condition. The planned work includes applying coats of rust inhibitor as well as primer and paint to ensure continued protection of equipment from the elements.

Tennis courts at Boothbay, Edgewater and Leo Ryan Parks will remain open and are available for drop-in play when not in use by tennis leagues.

For more information about this project, please contact Parks Superintendent Ken Whitney at (650) 286-3554 or kwhitney@fostercity.org.
