Foster City to Host Community Meeting on New Residential Recycle, Compost and Garbage Collection Services

Foster City, CA; October 21, 2010
 

Mark your calendars!!  Foster City will be transitioning to new garbage service in the next few months.  New carts will be delivered to Foster City homes November 16-24.  Foster City residents are invited to view the new Recycle, Compost and Garbage Carts and learn more about the new CartSMART collection services at a community meeting on Wednesday, November 10, 2010.  This free meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 620 Foster City Blvd., Foster City from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. 

 

The meeting will include a video on the new curbside services, information on the service changes and a question-and-answer period.  Representatives from RethinkWaste, Recology San Mateo County, who will be the future service provider, and the City will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.  Light refreshments will be provided. 

 

The presentation will be re-broadcast on Foster City TV, Comcast channel 27 and ATT channel 99, during the months of November and December.  In addition, residents are encouraged to visit www.fostercity.tv to view informational videos on-demand about the upcoming new services or to watch them on FCTV at 10 AM and 3 PM, seven days a week!
