The Foster City Arts and Culture Committee and the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department are pleased to announce the start of the 2009 Foster City Photo Contest. Entry submittal deadline is September 26, 2009.

With summer here, vacation time, tours, special outings, beaches, camping, fishing and lots of family fun are underway. As you document all your fun times and great memories with wonderful photographs, why not submit some of those great photos for prizes in Foster City’s community photo contest?

Entries will be accepted in seven categories. Due to a great popular demand, two new categories: Still Life and Photo Journal have been added to the previous years’ categories of Portrait, Landmark, Landscape, Sports and Manipulated Photos. A Third Place cash prize has been added and all categories will receive certificates and ribbons.

The photo contest is open to all San Mateo County residents ages 16 and up. Individuals may enter as many photos as they wish. Everyone is encouraged to join us and show off their skills.
