The Senior Wing of the Recreation Department seeks volunteers to provide information and assistance to seniors about the Foster City Senior programs. Duties may include greeting participants and visitors, answering telephones, updating bulletin boards, assisting with the distribution of the newsletter and various other tasks as needed. After several large scale disasters like 9/11 and the Loma Prieta earthquake, there was a realization that not all emergency services personnel will be able to reach everyone right away.
