On November 5, 2013 Charlie Bronitsky was re-elected to serve a four-year term on the City Council.
Charlie is a 12 year resident of Foster City. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Juris Doctor degree. He is married and has one son.
Charlie has been a local real estate attorney for the past 25 years. His practice has focused primarily on real estate transactions and litigation, including construction litigation. He has represented some of the largest real estate developers in the country along with local contractors, subcontractors and property owners.
Charlie was the President of what is now known as the Warnick Day School in Foster City from 1996 through 1998. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Bureau of Jewish Education in San Francisco during that same time period.
Charlie became a member of the Rotary Club of Foster City in 2001, was Treasurer in 2004-2005 and was President in 2010-2011. Charlie is also a member of the Rotary Club's "Ollieque" crew and is often seen cooking at local events to raise money for Foster City causes.
Charlie served on the Foster City Planning Commission for 3 ½ years, from 2006 through 2009, including a year as its Chairman in 2008-2009.
Charlie was born in 1957 and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to California in 1980 to complete his education in Berkeley. He lived in San Mateo, on Foster Street, from 1989 through 1999 when he and his family moved to Foster City.
Charlie considers Foster City to be "Paradise on Earth" and feels that it is an honor to work for Foster City as a Council Member.
