Your choices for televsion reception in Foster City are numerous.  The City maintains a non-exclusive Franchise Agreement with our (current) only cable television provider, Comcast Corporation (formerly AT&T Broadband). 

There are also a few direct broadcast satellite (DBS) providers to which residents and businesses can subscribe.  These providers are regulated under federal law.  The City has no oversight for any of these providers.

We provide you with a representative listing of providers for which the City is aware that service our community.  The City of Foster City does not recommend nor sponsor any of these cable, broandband, or similar providers.  Please explore the links to related providers at the right.

Cable / Broadband Services

• Comcast Corporation -- Comcast operates in Foster City under a non-exclusive Franchise Agreement, and is currently the sole cable television provider in the City.  The City regulates Comcast services as provided under federal law.  Please go to our Franchise Information page for additional information.

Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS)

The City does not regulate any of these providers as provided by federal law.  These providers have been known to have their services available to Foster City homes and businesses.  Homeowners are allowed to install satellite dishes that conform to federal regulations without permit from the City.
