Site Visits

Prior to installation of AT&T's proposed Project Lightspeed cabinets, Foster City staff visited various locations of installed 52B boxes in the Bay Area.

With AT&T's permission, we took video footage of those site visits in May 2006.  The link below will open a Windows Media video file. The video is just over 5 minutes.  Most is without audio, except for the middle portion that includes narration of what is inside the 52B box.

Foster City Installations   Updated May 25, 2007

AT&T began deploying their 52B VRAD cabinets in August 2006.  Service was deployed by virtue of a Gap Agreement with the City in February 2007.  The link below will open a PDF file that provides stats and background info on AT&T's deployment in Foster City, and provides a representative sample of 52B installations in various areas in Foster City.
