| Government Center Awards - 2003: American Public Works Association South Bay Area Chapter Project of the Year. The South Bay Chapter of APWA bestows this prestigious award annually. APWA selects a "Project of the Year" based on submitted nominations by public works agencies. For a project to be considered, it must meet any of the following characteristics: Completed ahead of schedule and under budget; particularly difficult construction conditions or problems that were solved in innovative ways; provided a new innovative technology or technique; saved the agency lots of money; improved operation/maintenance of or corrected a serious deficiency in a facility. This project will also be included for consideration in the National APWA Project of the Year competition.
- 2003: National Commercial Builders Council/National Association of Home Builders Award of Excellence, Project of the Year in the Institutional Category. The National Commercial Builders Council's (NCBC) mission is to address regulatory and legislative issues and provide educational and information services to its members. This award recognizes the building challenges overcome in completing the Government Center project.
- 2003: Station Style Design Award, Citation Award. Presented by Fire Chief Magazine, this award recognizes superlative work in Fire Station design and aesthetics in three categories: Career Station, Volunteer Station and Renovation/Remodel.
