State of California Awards

• Outstanding Financial Reporting  (California Society of Municipal Finance Officers - CSMFO) -- Certificate of award presented for outstanding achievement in the reporting of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  FY 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000,,2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005
• California Cities Helen Putnam Award for Excellence in Financial Management and Planning - Popular Report (League of California Cities) -- Received in recognition of the City's Popular Report, which is an abbreviated financial report for the citizenry that makes City finances easier to understand.  2001

National Award

• Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada - GFOA) -- Certificate of award presented for outstanding achievement in the reporting of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). FY 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 
• Certificate of Excellence Award in Investment Policy (Municipal Treasurers' Association of the United States and Canada) -- Award recognizing the City's Investment Policy that indicates sound financial management of the City's resources. 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000.
