Recycling Programs
Allied Waste Services (AWS), formerly known as BFI, provides residential and commercial collection of recyclable materials in Foster City. Recyclable materials include:
- Aluminum, steel and tin cans
- Cardboard and paper products
- Plastic bottles and containers

TV and Computer Monitor Recycling
Effective October 2005, the San Carlos Transfer Station will accept TV's and Computer monitors for recycling at NO CHARGE!

Foster City residents now have another resource for recycling options. New Recycling guides have been included in the June issue of your SBC Phone Book!!
This guide has helpful information on how to recycle almost anything--from mixed paper to electronics. This handy reference tool also includes sections on hazardous waste and reuse options. The SBWMA, of which Foster City is a member, sponsored this useful recycling tool and the guide was created for distribution to all households and businesses in San Mateo County.
