Mission Statement: The Audit Committee shall advise the City Council/District Board regarding the selection of the independent auditor(s), the review of the annual audit process and financial statements, and other financial matters as requested by the City Council/District Board.
Membership: This Committee shall consist of nine (9) voting members appointed by the City Council/District Board. All members shall have experience and expertise in the field of finance, accounting, law, or information technology. The term of membership on this Committee shall be as stated in Chapter 2 of the Foster City Municipal Code/Estero Municipal Improvement District Code. Members serve without compensation.
Qualifications for All City/District Committees: All persons interested in serving on any committee shall submit to the City Clerk/District Secretary, a written request for appointment containing such information on their background and qualifications as they deem appropriate. Members of all committees shall be residents of the City of Foster City/Estero Municipal Improvement District.
Meetings Dates and Time: The Audit Committee typically meets twice each year, in April and November. Meetings are typically held in the Foster City City Hall, Conference Room 1A, 610 Foster City Boulevard, Foster City.
