- The Estero Municipal Improvement District Board held a meeting on November 3, 2008, at which they considered the Water Supply Assessment Report for the Chess Drive Office Buildings Project. Follow this link to see item 8.2 for the Staff Report.
- At the City Council meeting on November 3, 2008 the agenda included two items, 8.3 and 8.4, that include follow-up work to the Draft Multi-Project Traffic Study that analyzes the traffic impacts of proposed developments in Foster City, including: Gilead Sciences Corporate Campus Master Plan, Chess Drive Office Buildings and the Mirabella San Francisco/Parkview Plaza Projects. - On September 16, 2008, the Foster City Planning Commission held a Study Session to discuss the proposed architectural plans for a proposed new 10 story, 164’ tall, 305,00 sq. ft,. office building (NOB-1) for the Gilead campus in the Vintage Park Industrial Park. - The Planning Commission held a Study Session to review and discuss the Draft Multi-Project Traffic Study on Thursday, September 4, 2008. The purpose of this Study Session was to hear a presentation from the traffic consultant on the draft report and its conclusions and to offer the Planning Commission and public an opportunity to provide comments on the draft Traffic Study. The findings of the Final Report will be incorporated into the Environmental Impact Reports currently being prepared for the three projects studied (Mirabella/Parkview Plaza, Gilead and Chess Drive). - On September 2, 2008, the Planning Commission held a Special Study Session to take a tour of Gilead Sciences new laboratory building at 362 Lakeside Drive. Please see below for a link to the agenda.
- The City has issued a Notice of Preparation to prepare an EIR. A Public Scoping Session was held to accept comments from Responsible Agencies and the public about the scope of the EIR on June 5, 2008. Follow this link to review the notice.
- The Planning Commission held a Second Study Session on May 1, 2008 in order to review the additional information requested by the Planning Commission on the February 5, 2008 First Study Session. Additional information included the amendments to the Vintage Park Design Guidelines, Parking Plan, Partial closure and privatization of Lakeside Drive, Conceptual Landscape Plan, Exit Strategy and required Lot Line Adjustments.
- The Planning Commission held a Study Session on February 5, 2008, to discuss Gilead’s Proposal to increase the allowed square footage of their 17 building campus from 629,154 sq. ft. to 1,200,480 sq. feet by amending the Vintage Park General Development Plan. The purpose of this Study Session was to allow the Planning Commissioners the opportunity to publicly review the proposed plan and to raise concerns that should be evaluated during the review process.
