Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks and Recreation Department?s Mission is to create community through people, parks and programs. Our department programs will support and contribute to economic development, strengthen safety in the community, and promote health and wellness to all Foster City residents and program participants. Our mission is inclusion for all, while fostering human development, recognizing and encouraging diversity, as well as cultural unity. As a team, the four divisions of the department, Parks, Recreation, Buildings, and Vehicles, will protect and monitor our environmental and economic resources, facilitate community problem solving, build upon community pride, while providing a variety of parks and recreation services in the community.
