The Building Inspection Division is responsible for ensuring that all construction projects permitted within the City comply with the Uniform Building Codes, the Foster City Municipal Code and all other applicable codes and regulations.

Do you have building plans for my house?
If your house was built prior to 1972 (when Foster City was incorporated) it is unlikely that plans will be on file; housing plans were not retained while Foster City remained under San Mateo County's jurisdiction.
