Rick Wykoff, Councilmember
Term Expires December 2011

 

Rick was elected to the City Council in 2001 to fill a two-year term vacated by Eileen Larsen. On November 19, 2003, he took office to serve his first four-year term. Mr. Wykoff was the Vice Mayor in 2004, Mayor in 2005 and Vice Mayor in 2009.  Mr. Wykoff served as Mayor in 2010, completing the term of former Mayor John Kiramis. He was elected to his second four-year term on November 6, 2007.

Rick has lived with his family in Foster City since January, 1978. He served for over 21 years as a city manager in two California cities. Seventeen of those years were as the City Manager of Foster City. He served as interim public works director in several cities in the County since his retirement from Foster City in 1994.

Rick has been involved with Boy Scouts as an adult leader for many years. He is a member of Rotary International, and served as President of the Foster City Rotary Club in 1996/97. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and CFO of the Industrial Emergency Council, a nonprofit emergency training organization.

Rick has a BA in Public Administration with Post-Graduate work in public management and psychology.
