Councilmember Ron Cox

Council Corner
November 2, 2005
by Councilmember Ron Cox

Please Vote on November 8 2005
Next Tuesday November 8th is a very important day for Foster City. We have 2 veteran council people, Marland Townsend, and Deborah Wilder leaving the council, both Marland and Deborah are termed out of office.

There are 5 candidates running for City Council for the 2 open seats. This is a very important vote for Foster City because the winning candidates will serve a term of 4 years and will be a part of guiding the city through these tough economic times.

The present city council has worked very hard to keep Foster City economically sound and I am sure we will keep working hard with the 2 new winning candidates. It takes about a year on the city council to learn the budgeting process and how Foster City runs.

The 3 existing city council members staying on the council have a lot of years of experience and will help the 2 new council members in that first year of learning.

The most important thing for you the voter is to read and learn about these 5 candidates and then take the time out of your busy schedule and vote.

Please Vote Next Tuesday, November 8th
