Foster City and the Foster City Lions Club have started working on the 4th of July event. The look this year is going to be different than any other year.
Leo Ryan Park is going through the last phase of the multi-year renovation. During the summer months the area of the park known as the “Meadow” will be under construction. That part of the park is at East Hillsdale Blvd and Shell Blvd. The meadow area where all the booths have been, including the stage, will be closed.
The United Island Church pancake breakfast will be held in the Senior Wing parking lot and all the booths will be in front of the Recreation Center and heading north to the amphitheater.
The 4th of July event will have the same booths, kids rides, food, and city activities all day long, however, it will not be as noticeable from the street.
Both the City and the Lions are working hard to start advertising and letting the public know the 4th of July Celebration will continue as we have over the last 35 years.
Even though this is going to be harder to set up we feel the event will be a success as it is every year.
Next year the Leo Ryan Park renovation will be complete and the park will look great for many years to come, and we will even have a marquee that you will be able to read.
Hope to see every one out this year on the 4th.
