Leo Ryan Park Stage Lions and Rotary Join Forces
The Foster City Lions Club and the Foster City Rotary Club have joined forces to reconstruct the stage at Leo Ryan Park. Both clubs have been coordinating a joint effort to rebuild the stage that sits in the meadow facing Shell Blvd. This is the last phase of the renovation of Leo Ryan Park.

Lion Ron Cox and Rotarian Rick Wykoff felt this would be a great project for both clubs to join in and rebuild the stage together. Both clubs were approached and agreed. Members from both clubs gathered for the first work party on Saturday, September 17th. With 12 volunteers from both clubs the work started.

The stage will be permanently built at the existing location with finishes that tie-in with the rest of the park. The stage will meet ADA requirements with access available for everyone. The new design will allow for storage behind the stage for easier set up for events being held on the stage.

The joint effort of the Lions Club and the Rotary Club will save thousands of dollars for Foster City. Both clubs are very active in our community helping in a big variety of projects. This is one of the biggest joint efforts on one project for both clubs.

With the newly renovated Amphitheater the stage will not get the use it has over the last several years but will serve many events each year.

Leo Ryan Park will be completed with the final phase of construction in October of this year. The Lions and Rotary Clubs can be proud of their involvement of helping finish the last part of Leo Ryan Park.
