Being Mayor of Foster City
I still have a smile on my face every time I think about being Mayor of this great City. I have just been Mayor for a couple of weeks and have attended many extra meetings, city functions and gatherings. I am seeing first hand what former mayors? schedules were like. Our city has some projects that the council and I will be working hard on this coming year.
Insuring we have a balanced budget.
Dredging of our lagoons.
Breaking ground on PJCC and ESOP site.
Refurbishing Leo Ryan Park.
Continuing the civic center master plan.
Installing a new marquee at corner of Shell Blvd. and E. Hillsdale Blvd. (you will be able to read the new one).
Supporting the demolition of San Mateo High School.
Dedicating the Sports Wall of Fame at Sea Cloud Park and the Community Wall of Fame at the Recreation Center.
Improving transportation for our seniors.
Adding many more programs for our seniors.
Working to revitalize our advisory committees.
Seeing the completion of the Marlin Cove and Miramar housing developments.
This is just a small list of things I want to see started and completed next year. Being Mayor is very exciting for me but I also know that I need the support of our city council to accomplish all these projects. With the full council seated at this time I look forward to this coming year.
