View Current Noise Abatement Committee Agenda

Mission Statement: The Noise Abatement Committee shall endeavor to maintain a healthful and livable environment by the abatement of excessive airport and aircraft noise, and:
A. Gather and provide information, advise, and recommend to the community and City Council on related technical and political developments.
B. Maintain a constructive dialogue with groups who may influence airport/aircraft noise.
C. Serve as a channel for public opinion and actions influencing airport/aircraft noise.
D. Cooperate with other cities and groups in their efforts to reduce airport/aircraft noise.

Membership: The committee consists of five members and a City Council representative. The City Council shall appoint members and non-voting members for a three-year term. Interested applicants must state their qualifications on a city application form. Members serve without compensation. Qualifications for All City/District Committees: All persons interested in serving on any committee shall submit to the City Clerk/District Secretary a written request for appointment containing such information about their background and qualifications as they deem appropriate. Members of all committees must be residents of the City of Foster City/Estero Municipal Improvement District.

Meeting Dates, Time and Location: the second Thursday every other month at 7:00 p.m. in the Foster City Council Chambers Conference Room 620 Foster City Boulevard, Foster City. [Feb., April, June, Aug., Oct., & Dec.]
