Audit Committee

Mission Statement: The Audit Committee shall advise the City Council/EMID Board of Directors regarding the selection of the independent auditor(s), the review of the annual audit process and financial statemetns, and other financial matters as requested by the City Council/EMID Board of Directors.

Membership: The committee consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Mayor/President with the approval of the majority of the City Council/EMID Board of Directors to terms of three years each. All members shall have experience and expertise in the field of accounting, law, or data processing. Members serve without compensation.

Qualifications for All City/District Committees: All persons interested in serving on any committee shall submit to the City Clerk/District Secretary, a written request for appointment containing such information on their background and qualifications as they deem appropriate. Members of all committees shall be residents of the City of Foster City/Estero Municipal Improvement District.

Meeting Dates and Time: The Audit Committee typically meets twice a year, in May and November. Meetings are typically held in the Foster City Council Chambers Conference Room, 620 Foster City Boulevard, Foster City.
