The Ad Hoc Environmental Sustainability Task Force has completed its first mission. Follow the link above to view the Recommended Community-Wide Sustainability Action Plan that was submitted to City Council on 2/23/2009. City staff is now working on a Next Steps Plan, including the future goals for the task force.
Environmental Sustainability Task Force Mission Statement: The mission of the Ad Hoc Environmental Sustainability Task Force shall be to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council and City Staff regarding the City’s sustainability efforts, especially community-wide recommendations included in the Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) presented to the City Council in February of 2009.
Membership/Qualifications: The task force shall consist of fifteen (15) members. Additional ex-officio members of the task force may be appointed at the discretion of the City Council. All task force members shall be Foster City residents. Members serve without compensation.
Meeting Dates and Time: The current term of the Ad Hoc Environmental Sustainability Task Force runs through June 2012. The Task Force meets from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month. Meetings will be held in the Foster City Emergency Operation Center, 1040 Hillsdale Boulevard, Foster City, unless otherwise noted.
