Addressing the Council at Public Meetings

Anyone wishing to speak on an item listed on the agenda, or to bring up an item not listed, should fill out a Request to Speak Form located at the back of the Council Chambers and hand it to the City Clerk before or during the meeting.

Items not listed on the agenda will be heard under the Public portion of the agenda. No formal Council action will be taken.

If you have filled out a Request to Speak Form, your name will be called at the appropriate time when the designated item is under consideration.

Speakers should state name and address for the record. Presentations should be clear and concise. Groups and organizations are asked to designate one spokesperson whenever possible. Repetition of ideas expressed by other speakers should be avoided.

Every effort will be made to ensure that citizens have ample opportunity to address the Council.  Speakers are allowed five minutes to address the Council (FCMC 2.08.240).
