The Foster City Police Department encourages anyone that owns a bicycle to register it. By doing so, you increase the chance of it being returned to you should it get stolen and then recovered by a police agency.
The Foster City Police Department has teamed up with the National Bicycle Registry in a collaborative effort to provide bike owners the opportunity to register their bikes. The National Bicycle Registry provides a nation-wide bike registry database and has been working with Law Enforcement to return stolen bikes to their owners since 1984. You can register your bike from the comfort of your own home via the Internet on their website at http://www.nationalbikeregistry.com.
There is a nominal fee for this registration service. The process is as easy as logging on and entering your bicycle information. To obtain pricing information or to register your bike, log on to the National Bike Registry's website at http://www.nationalbikeregistry.com or call 1-800-848-BIKE (2453).
If you have any additional questions regarding bicycle safety or the registration program, please call the crime prevention unit at 650-286-3322.
