Patch

The Foster City Police Department offers its patrol members an oppurtunity to be a part of a community oriented policing law enforcement team.  Officers are challenged daily by their primary duties which include the protection of life and property, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, and other police tasks.

As officers gain experience in law enforcement and community interaction, they are able to apply and work within some of FCPD's special assignment teams...

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS:

Sgt Dave Barsanti

Minimum requirements for police officer positions are as follows:

  • 21 years of age
  • U.S. citizen
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • California driver' s license
  • No felony convictions.

The testing process includes an oral board, behavioral personality assessment, background investigation including a polygraph examination, medical and psychological evaluations, and Captains and Chiefs interview.

Our condolences to those who lost their loved ones during the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.
