Fire Marshal
The Fire Marshal is the head of the Fire Prevention Division and is responsible for maintaining a reasonable degree of life and property safety in Foster City by developing, adopting and enforcing ordinances, codes and standards for new and existing businesses and residences. Assistant Fire Marshal
The Assistant Fire Marshal ensures compliance with fire and life safety codes and standards and assists the residential and business communities when problems with these codes and standards arise. Reporting to the Fire Marshal the Assistant Fire Marshal meets with homeowner associations, community groups and the business community, inspects existing buildings, reviews new construction plans for compliance with adopted fire codes and fire standards and performs investigations at fire scenes.
