FAQ - Child Fingerprinting Information

Question: Do you fingerprint children?

Answer: We do have fingerprint kits available for parents to take home and print their own child. You keep the records in a safe place. The police department does not store these records. Children should have prints taken each year, as their prints become more defined as they reach early adulthood. You should also consider taking several photos or a video of your child each year and store them with the fingerprints, along with short clip of you child?s hair. Please contact our Youth Services Bureau for more information.
